Wholesale Suppliers Needed For Flea Market Products

Wholesale Flea Market Products

The popularity of flea markets across the country has shown a definite increase in vendors and shoppers. Many vendors started with flea market sales as a hobby to make a little extra cash. But today many of them as well as others have made flea market sales their full time business.

With so many individuals without employment, flea markets have become a big business for many individuals needing a source of income and a shopping resource for thrifty consumers looking for bargains. With the price of everything going up in today’s world, flea markets have become a place for budget minded consumers to shop for products at a much lower price. Thus, flea markets have become a popular shopping experience for a significant number of the population.

Flea market vendors have discovered the increasing number of consumers eager to buy merchandise at flea markets sometimes traveling for hours to reach them. In order to meet the needs of shoppers and to profit from the growing trend, they are seeking wholesale flea market products.

In order to stock their shelves and keep them stocked, vendors need to find reliable wholesale suppliers of merchandise that will appeal to a large number of consumers. Wholesale cost per item must also allow for a hefty profit since shoppers are expecting to pay discount prices for merchandise.

The first place for vendors to consider searching is online for wholesale direct suppliers. Vendors should look for suppliers that have no minimum order requirement. Also, look for suppliers that offer wholesale merchandise with no membership fee or monthly fee required.

Vendors just starting into the business may need to find the best selling items and will need to test some items before stocking their inventory. Wholesale suppliers with no minimum order requirement will allow vendors to buy a selection of products in the quantity that best suits their needs. Also this will give vendors the opportunity to see first-hand the quality of the wholesale flea market merchandise.

Flea market vendors understand that in order to keep consumers regularly shopping and buying from their booths, they must always have plenty of products for sale and continually offer unique, new items. When the shelves are well stocked with a variety of popular items, good quality and the prices are discounted, then consumers will become accustomed to returning to those vendors for more merchandise.

Flea market vendors should also consider buying their best sellers in bulk and items on clearance to enhance their profit margin even more.

Developing a business relationship with your wholesale supplier is important in order to keep up-to-date on new product arrivals, out-of-stock merchandise and items that have been discontinued. This is especially true for specialty products and best sellers that the vendor has been known to offer the flea market community.

Treasure Shopping for Antique Lovers

Treasure Shopping for Antique Lovers

On March 11 and 12, treasure shopping for antique lovers was exactly what you would find in McRae, Georgia, at The McRae Marketplace. Many folks stopped by for lots of browsing and treasure shopping as they traveled the route on the Peaches to the Beaches annual event.  There were some shoppers that expressed how exciting it was for them to start near Perry stopping along the way with plans to travel the entire Golden Isles Parkway route to Brunswick. It's a lot of treasure shopping in a matter of a couple of days they admitted. These antique lovers and flea market shoppers were eager to share their excitement with other shoppers.

The Marketplace vendors prepared for weeks for the coming event.  New wares and accessories were neatly displayed and aisles were cleared for the additional traffic.  Manager, Joy Ricks stated "the annual event just gets bigger every year and this year was no exception." She also expressed how much she enjoys meeting the new shoppers coming in for the first time.  She stated that many shoppers are amazed when they first enter the large in-house antique/flea market showroom.  "They just can't believe so many vendors with such a variety of goods are all under one roof," she added.

Owner Britt Rich and Manager Joy Ricks are already thinking of new ideas for next year's Peaches to the Beaches event. They would like to offer shoppers even more treasures. You never know what they will have in store!

If you have an interest in becoming a vendor, contact Joy or Britt at 229-868-2910.

Shopping For Collectible Treasures

Looking For Rare Collectibles?

Looking for unique and rare collectibles? Do you enjoy plundering through all the wares of a flee market to find a special treasure? It happens all the time. So many rare treasures are found at flee markets and many have been found at The McRae Marketplace. Many have been valuable treasures indeed!
Unique Porcelain Collectibles
Recently a fine porcelain collectible vase was found while looking around the vast selection of merchandise. This vase is a beautiful, exquisite porcelain collectible in excellent condition.

Located among many other vases, glassware, dishes, kitchen accessories and household items, a perfect Kaiser vase was found. Some research of Kaiser revealed that this vase was made in West Germany. The production of porcelain vases, as well as other pieces, began with August Alboth who was an embellisher of fine porcelain that started a business of his own in 1872 in Bavaria, Germany. He wanted his business to be known for porcelain products of the highest quality. Each piece was molded and crafted by hand as no machine could ever match the quality and appearance of his skilled artisans. His porcelain gifts and accessories were designed creations fit for connoisseurs. His work has flourished for over 135 years.
On the porcelain vase, the surface was molded with a garden of flowing vines and leaves with raised poppy designs of intricate details. The exterior is in a soft, white bisque and the interior in a glossy white glaze.
It has a square design which is also a rarity of the design.
The base, as shown in this photo, has an impressed crown with AK beneath it with Kaiser W Germany in blue ink. The numbers 548/24 is also impressed in the right corner of the base.
This unique vase measures 9 1/2" high and width is 2 1/2" at base. The vase has a square design with rounded corners and curved top which measures 4" across. It is in excellent condition and is a rare and valuable find.
