Treasure Shopping for Antique Lovers

Treasure Shopping for Antique Lovers

On March 11 and 12, treasure shopping for antique lovers was exactly what you would find in McRae, Georgia, at The McRae Marketplace. Many folks stopped by for lots of browsing and treasure shopping as they traveled the route on the Peaches to the Beaches annual event.  There were some shoppers that expressed how exciting it was for them to start near Perry stopping along the way with plans to travel the entire Golden Isles Parkway route to Brunswick. It's a lot of treasure shopping in a matter of a couple of days they admitted. These antique lovers and flea market shoppers were eager to share their excitement with other shoppers.

The Marketplace vendors prepared for weeks for the coming event.  New wares and accessories were neatly displayed and aisles were cleared for the additional traffic.  Manager, Joy Ricks stated "the annual event just gets bigger every year and this year was no exception." She also expressed how much she enjoys meeting the new shoppers coming in for the first time.  She stated that many shoppers are amazed when they first enter the large in-house antique/flea market showroom.  "They just can't believe so many vendors with such a variety of goods are all under one roof," she added.

Owner Britt Rich and Manager Joy Ricks are already thinking of new ideas for next year's Peaches to the Beaches event. They would like to offer shoppers even more treasures. You never know what they will have in store!

If you have an interest in becoming a vendor, contact Joy or Britt at 229-868-2910.
